Food Because of his skin allergy problems 8 year old Beau only eats fresh prepared food. Since October 2007 he devours vegetables (everything except leek and onions) and meet. His diet has been prescribed by a holistic vet. In addition he likes to have cheese and milk, apple, banana and sinews (duck, goat). Beau’s condition has strongly improved since his new diet: his coat is glossy and his hair is longer than ever, his bald patches have nearly disappeared. He also plays with more energy. 
Up until his fourth year Beau was fed kibble from several brands from Eukanuba and Royal Canin to Hill’s and Arden Grange. In addition to his diet his new regular and homeopathic vet supplements him with mega 3 fish oil and other extras. Beau his stamina has improved greatly so he can almost withstand allergy attacks the whole year around, though Spring time is a critical season.

Fur brushing with comb daily. After his strolls in the woods we have to remove mud, thistles, leaves, little branches and ticks with a special ticktool after which we have to dry him with lots of towels or blow him dry. Occasionally Beau has to take a shower with dog shampoo and lukewarm water (to his deep regret).

Paws Cleaned with wet towel after every stroll.

Teeth Are brushed daily with dog tooth paste and soft brush.

Trimming The hair at the backside of his front and back feet and underneath his feet.Visits to regular, specialized, holistic and 'combined' vets. Allopecia, bite and scratch wounds, chemical castration, diarrhoea, elbow displacie, histiocytoom, inflammations, sebum lump, swollowing of pieces of lead and plastics, vaccinations.
