Apport. Recently Beau has learned to fetch a towel or rope for his human. Being of non retriever breed it took him weeks to practice this activity in which he engaged daily for about ten minutes a day. He learned this game in two shifts: after a fetch command he learned the give command with a cookie as reward.
Catch me if you can. Beau takes his bone in his mouth, turns his head to look at his human behind him, walks away making feinting and defensive movements.
Chasing cats or rabbits. At the parking lot are cats, at the garden there are rabbits. When he is unleashed he speeds after them.
Digging. By moving his front paws at the same time he digs wholes to make a cool place to stay complete with a little pile at the side (a pillow) to support his head when lying down.
Eating grass. In gardens, alongside ditches and in pastures, Beau looks for and eats young and long grasses.
Fetch! Beau takes hold of an object in his mouth.
Give! Beau brings the object and puts it with his mouth into your hand.
Go and search! Beau sits and waits for the command to search the house for hidden treats or person(s).
Jumping. Beau jumps like a deer over tree logs and branches or when necessary over the garden hedge.
Paddling. In sea, lake, pond, ditch or muddy pool.
Running. Beau is good in sprints and even keeps up with greyhounds for a short while.
Shaking prey. Taking a towel from the ground and shaking it forcefully with his head.
Sniffing. Especially trees and bushes, everywhere and all the time.
Soundlessly approaching. Sneaking up behind the back of his humans especially.
Trailing. Every Sunday at 8.30 A.M. Beau has his trailing lesson. His human makes a trail in the grass by shoving his feet on it, after which he walks behind Beau (on leash) who keeps his nose intensely to the ground finding the treats along the route.
Tugging. Boss and beau each pull on the other side of a towel or rope.
