In the city Beau walks leashed up wearing his soft collar. In the woods and other walking areas he goes out without leash or with an extendable one. His times and routes are scheduled, except when he joins his family for a visit or journeys within or across the dutch borders. Beau goes out four times a day at the least. In a variabel group he walks three times a week in the woods during the afternoons with outlet Marleen. Being the biggest dog, he wants to play boss over the others, runs after balls, plunges in pools with or without mud, rolls in sandy horse paths, fiercely rushes through bushes and investigates female dogs. His other ´messages´ he leaves with his humans around the house, in the city park, on his way to the allotment garden or trailing lessons. During these outings he practices his commands in word and gesture, is engaged in seek-and-fetch-games, grumbles to passing male dogs, investigates smells on bushes, trees and pavements and is angling for pets or cookies from passers-by.
